X - Ray Technician

Duties and Responsibilities: A medical x-ray technician takes radiographic images of specific parts of a patient's body, which a physician has requested in order to make a diagnosis. They need a thorough understanding of imaging equipment and x-ray procedures and, as they are required to interact with patients, they should also have solid communication skills. A certificate or associate's degree is required to work in this field.

Salary: The median salary for someone that is a x ray technician is $56,670

Education: In order to be an x ray technician you need at least a certificatge or associates degree. If you want to be more advanced you can go as far as to get a Bachelor's degree or a Master's degree. Then, you will need to get a certificate to allow you to practice on real patients. After, you are eligable for this carer.

Demand for this career: In order to be a good candidate for this career you need Interpersonal communication, mathematics, and science skills; proficiency with medical and patient database software; ability to operate and maintain imaging equipment; stamina and strength to work standing and to assist and position patients

Reflection: I would not like to be an x ray technician. I would not like to be one because it looks really boring.

Osteopathic Physician Duties and Responsibilities: Osteopathic Physicians practice osteopathy which is the idea that moving bones and joints can cause good health Salary: Osteopathic physicians make around $150,000 or more a year. Educational Requirements: In order to become an Osteopathic Physician you need to go to Osteopathic college and do training Demand or need: It was predicted to grow 20% from 2010 to 2020 Reflection: I would not like to be an osteopathic physician because it does not interest me and i feel like i would get bored doing it.

Operating Room Technician

Operating Room Technician Duties and Responsibilities: An operating room technician is in charge of preparing the O.R for surgery and making sure all needed tools are available. Salary: In 2010 the median salary for a person in this career would make around $40,000 a year. Education: In order to become an operating room technician you need to have a high school diploma. You also need to have completed a surgical technology program. Demand or need: This profession is expect to grow up to 20% in the next couple years. I think this job is really important and necessary but i don't see myself doing it. This job is interesting because you get the chance to observe surgeries and do stuff like that. You also get to learn more and gain more knowledge on the human body.

Medical Career Path - 1/19/18

Pharmacy Technician 1. Duties and Responsibilities: A pharmacy technician is in charge of making sure patients understand the medicine they are receiving. They need to have a big understanding of all medical drugs. They need to be able to dispense the proper amount of medicine and have to understand what all of the medicines do. 2. Salary: A pharmacy technician makes over $30,000 yearly which equals to around $14 an hour. 3. Educational Requirements: In order to become a pharmacy technician you need to have a high school diploma. It is also recommended to have some kind of pharmacy technical school that you have attended. 4. Every year more and more pharmacies are being created, as the growth of pharmacies happen so does the need for pharmacy technicians. 5. Reflection: I think this would be an interesting job because i find medicines interesting and i would like to know more about them.
