Teacher Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a teacher is to create a lesson plan and to teach their students what is in the lesson plan. Educational Requirements: In order to become a teacher you have to have a high school diploma. If you want to be a teacher for elementary you need to get a Bachelor’s degree, that is the minimum requirement. For middle school and high school you need to have a degree in a specific subject. Salary: The average amount of money a teacher makes in a year is around $56,000 a year. Demand or need: The demand for teachers is always going to be big. We will always need great teachers to help lead the next generation. Reflection: I think i would like to go into a career like teaching, i want to be able to help children whether it be like this or medically. I want to be able to make a big impact in the world and people and being a teacher could help me do that.         ...

Career of Choice: Neurologist Duties and Responsibilities: The job of a neurologist is to treat and diagnose nervous system disorders and problems with the brain.  Salary: The average salary of a neurologist is around $198,000.  Education: In order to become a neurologist you have to get a doctor of medicine degree, clinical residency, and then followed by a fellowship in a specialized area. Demand: This job is projectedto grow about 14% which includesphysicians and surgeons as well.  Reflection: I would like to be a neurologist because they have a very important role on a persons health. I feel like I would enjoy this career because I want to help people specifcally kids.   

Topic: Los Angeles I chose to talk about Los Angeles because I live in Los Angeles. Los Angeles is a city in California. It is towards Southern California. Los Angeles is home of 88 smaller cities within Los Angeles. Also, around 9 sports teams are from Los Angeles. The sports  teams are,  the Anaheim Ducks, the Los Angeles Angels, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Los Angeles Clippers, the Los Angeles Dodgers, LA Galaxy, the Los Angeles Kings, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the Los Angeles Rams. Also Los Angeles is a very interesting place. Did you know in 1982 oil was discovered where the Dodger Stadium now is. Other random facts are, it is illegal to lick a toad in Los Angeles. The Hollywood  sign originally  said "Hollywoodland" but was later shortened to just "Hollywood". Another big thing that Los Angeles is best known for is the beaches, the views, and the fashion filled cities. The Flu 1. One of the biggest health issues taking place right now is the flu, also known as, influenza.  2. The flu is a virus that affects several parts of the body, especially the lungs. nose, and throat.  3. People of all races, genders, and ages are being affected by this powerful virus. People most easily targeted are children, pregnant women, or people with chronic diseases/low immune systems. 4. People are being hospitalized due to this condition and there is also preventative vaccines that are available.  6. This issue affects me because i have to make sure i don't get sick to protect the people in my family that have chronic illnesses. 

Effects of Marijuana 1. Marijuana can affect you in several ways. These ways can be both positive and negative.  Some of the negative affects include: - Rapid heart beat - Increase risk of heart attack  - Increase risk of bleeding - Lowers blood pressure These are only some of the ways that smoking, inhaling, or eating marijuana can affect on your body.   In the past month, 6.5 percent of eighth graders, 16.6 percent of 10th graders and 21.2 percent of 12th graders admitted to marijuana use.  Some of the ways we could help create a non-marijuana using community is by offering help. When using a drug it isn't an easy decision to suddenly decide not to keep doing that drug. They need to slowly get away from it, and even then that isn't easy for some users.  I commit and promise to never use marijuana, ever, regardless of what society says. 

The Harmful Effects of Smoking  Smoking harms you in several ways some way include: makes blood thicker, higher chances of blood clots meaning strokes are very likely increases your blood pressure and heart rate pneumonia, asthma, lung cancer all become much more likely bones become brittle and weak I can promote non-smoking by not smoking myself and by talking to people about the risks of smoking and if that doesn't get them to stop, i respect that. I promise to never smoke or use tobacco products ever.
