Teacher Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities of a teacher is to create a lesson plan and to teach their students what is in the lesson plan. Educational Requirements: In order to become a teacher you have to have a high school diploma. If you want to be a teacher for elementary you need to get a Bachelor’s degree, that is the minimum requirement. For middle school and high school you need to have a degree in a specific subject. Salary: The average amount of money a teacher makes in a year is around $56,000 a year. Demand or need: The demand for teachers is always going to be big. We will always need great teachers to help lead the next generation. Reflection: I think i would like to go into a career like teaching, i want to be able to help children whether it be like this or medically. I want to be able to make a big impact in the world and people and being a teacher could help me do that.         ...

Career of Choice: Neurologist Duties and Responsibilities: The job of a neurologist is to treat and diagnose nervous system disorders and problems with the brain.  Salary: The average salary of a neurologist is around $198,000.  Education: In order to become a neurologist you have to get a doctor of medicine degree, clinical residency, and then followed by a fellowship in a specialized area. Demand: This job is projectedto grow about 14% which includesphysicians and surgeons as well.  Reflection: I would like to be a neurologist because they have a very important role on a persons health. I feel like I would enjoy this career because I want to help people specifcally kids.   

Valentine's Day      Valentine's Day also known as San Valentine's Day and The Feast of Saint Valentine is celebrated on February 14. This day originated from Western Christian feast day which was made to honor one or two early saints named Valentinus. This holiday is used to celebrate love and romance. During this time the sales of flowers, candies, and balloons increases. Also reservations for restaurants increases and restaurants get packed. This day is dated back to the 5th century. This day, in my family, is a day to eat sweets like cookies, brownies, and cake. It is a tradition we have done that helps bring the family together. 

Class Evaluation I liked learning about new careers, being able to research, and gaining more knowledge on certain topics.  I didn't like how little free time we had and how we would have to stand up to do the pledge of allegiance. I think in order for this class to be more interesting for some people, there should be more free time to play on the computer.  The highlight for me, in this class would have to be learning about careers i didn't even know existed.  i think i really did try hard in this class, i put a lot of effort into the student success statements and the career research.  I only wrote in my journal in class because outside of class i had things to do like homework and lately there's been several things due that has taken over a lot of my time.  I am committed to always choose the right and make good decisions because in the long run it will benefit me and help me become a better person. 

During Thanksgiving break I didn't do much. I spent a lot of time with my family. My older sister, nephew, and older brother came to visit and came home from college. I went to the  movie theater to watch the movie coco. On Thanksgiving morning i went to church early in the morning to donate my time and i helped set up the annual feast at my church. During the break i had to make sure i completed my book report and set up my binder for health. I loved spending time with my older siblings and my nephew. Currently, my sister is going to San Francisco State University and lives in San Francisco with my nephew. My older brother goes to UC Merced. Both of these places are very close to each other but from there to Los Angeles it is about an 8 hour drive. For Thanksgiving my mom made turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, and chicken noodle soup which i love. This break as long adn i was definitely ready to come back so i could talk and hang out with my friends and boyfriend.
