Duties and Responsibilities: Oncologist are doctors that spepcialize in cancer, specifically tumors. Radiation is the name of one form of treatment that helps shrink the size of tumors. A Radiation Oncologist's job is t treat people with cancer using radiation and make sure they recieve the right dosage.

Salary: The median salary is $80,220

Educational Requirements: In order to become a radiation oncologist you need an Associate's degree or a Bachelor's degree and you need a radiation certificate.

Demand for this career: The projected growth rate is set to be 14%.

Reflection: I think I would look into this career because I have a big interest in oncology and want to do something in that field.

Student Success Statement "Enthusiasm makes the difference." - Dr. Norman Vincent Peale I agree and partially disagree with this. I agree because it is true. Being enthusiastic makes a big difference in the way you see things. Being enthusiastic makes you excited for things and that can help your mental health cope and become happier. I partially disagree though, because sometimes people can not be enthusiastic because they may be depressed or have another mental illness that makes them not feel enthusiastic. I feel like being enthusiastic makes me feel good. This year, i decided to become more enthusiastic. Ever since then i have looked at the positive things in life. I have been doing this for several months now and i feel happy and i think that has really improved my grades. I enjoy coming to school because i am very enthusiastic about it and want to succeed.

Optometry Technician Duties and Responsibilities: Optometry Technicians work as an assistant for an optometrist. They help them conduct tests and treatments. These technicians usually have a responsibility of testing a patients visual acuity, depth perception, pressure in the eye, color vision, and pupil reflexes. They do this to help the optometrist know what ind of treatment the patient will need. Salary: An optometry technician makes about $30,000 and over. Educational Requirements: In order to become an optometry technician it is required you have a high school diploma, it is required you have completed training, and it is required to have an Associate's degree. Demand for this career: This profession is expected to grow about 23% in the following years. reflection: I think this job would be cool, i have seen this job firsthand and i think its interesting.

They work under the direction of a licensed physician and with other healthcare providers, often discussing specific injuries and treatment options or evaluating and treating patients, as directed by a physician. Some athletic trainers meet with a team physician or consulting physician regularly.
