Duties and Responsibilities: The job of a pathologist is to identify diseases and conditions by studying abnormal cells and tissue, they do this for other doctors and their patients. Once they find something they inform the doctors they work for and the doctor will inform their patients. They also preform autopsies on dead people to find out why they died and when they died. 



Salary: A pathologist makes about $120,000 a year or over depending on amount of experience and where they are working at. 

Educational Requirements: In order to become a pathologist, you need to complete a 4 year college course, 4 years of medical school, and then a pathology residency of 4-5 years. 

Demand for this career: This career is expected to grow about 14% in the next couple of years. 

Reflection: I think this job is very intetesting, it is interesting because you get to loook at things and make diagnosis off of them. i would like to be one because it is important that the world has enough of these doctors.

Optometry Technician Duties and Responsibilities: Optometry Technicians work as an assistant for an optometrist. They help them conduct tests and treatments. These technicians usually have a responsibility of testing a patients visual acuity, depth perception, pressure in the eye, color vision, and pupil reflexes. They do this to help the optometrist know what ind of treatment the patient will need.  Salary: An optometry technician makes about $30,000 and over. Educational Requirements: In order to become an optometry technician it is required you have a high school diploma, it is required you have completed training, and it is required to have an Associate's degree.  Demand for this career: This profession is expected to grow about 23% in the following years.  reflection: I think this job would be cool, i have seen this job firsthand and i think its interesting.

Glasgow This quote, in other words, is talking about the importance of setting goals and knowing what exactly you are working towards. I agree with this because setting goals and acknowledging that you have goals is really motivating. I, for example, set goals for myself and work hard to meet all of them. Sometimes, i don't meet all the goals i expect myself to but that just motivates me to work harder. Last year, during 8th grade, i set multiple goals for myself. Some of them were, to get good grades, to complete all my work, and to make sure i am a great student. All of those grades were accomplished and i graduated with a high GPA and many of my teachers thanked me and awarded me for being such a great student.  This year, my goals are to get straight A's so i will have a 4.0 GPA and i want to start volunteering.
