"Kindness is the essence of greatness."

This quote is important. It is important because greatness comes from several things and one of them is kindness. I remember when i was smaller, i would always try and be polite. I would thank everyone that did something kind and that led to me being kind. Being kind is one of the most important things to be. It is important because your kindness will affect the way people see you and more importantly how you make people feel. During times like these, there needs to be more kindness in the world, For example, today there are racist, homophobic, and other people that discriminate against other people. People are getting mad and disrespecting people that exercise their amendments like freedom of speech. Freedom of speech isn't an excuse to say derogatory things, freedom of speech is being able to disagree with something without people calling them bad people. Kindness is important because it reflects of the way people think of you. Kindness includes not being racist and not being rude to someone based off their looks. Kindness is important and most times people think they are kind when really they aren't, it is really hard for someone to be completely kind but it is important that we strive to become kind at all times towards everyone.

"Ask yourself is it right or wrong and act according." - Otto Graham This quote, in my own words, means acknowledge if something is wrong or right and make the best choice. Many times, i have thought about a quote similar to this and i actually make my decisions with a conscious mind and i think about what is right and what is wrong and make sure that drives me to my decision. I like this quote because it is something people don't always do. I feel like some peolpe make decisions and dont really think about the effects the choice will have on them or whoever in the long run. I feel like if people thought about the choices they make and focus on how it could negatively impact them or someone else, we wouldn't have so much voilence. But sadly, that is not what happens. Also why would anyone ever give their word never to cross it? This statement doesn't make sense and doesnt even tell us what exactly his words of honor are.
