Student Success Statement - 4/6/2018

"A promise must never be broken." - Alexander Hamilton

I agree with this quote. I agree with this quote because it is true. This quote is true because i pormise is made to do something for a reason and it should be completed. I thin k making a promise allows someone to trust you and if they break that promise then so will the trust be broken. Making promises is not something to be used lightly, you only promise something when you really mean it and know you qill complete it. Promises are important to everyone and almost everyone has promised something at some point in their life. Breaking a promise can lead to many consequences and can even lead to the relationship with the person you made the promise to be broken.

Student Success Statement "Enthusiasm makes the difference." - Dr. Norman Vincent Peale I agree and partially disagree with this. I agree because it is true. Being enthusiastic makes a big difference in the way you see things. Being enthusiastic makes you excited for things and that can help your mental health cope and become happier. I partially disagree though, because sometimes people can not be enthusiastic because they may be depressed or have another mental illness that makes them not feel enthusiastic. I feel like being enthusiastic makes me feel good. This year, i decided to become more enthusiastic. Ever since then i have looked at the positive things in life. Optometry Technician Duties and Responsibilities: Optometry Technicians work as an assistant for an optometrist. They help them conduct tests and treatments. These technicians usually have a responsibility of testing a patients visual acuity, depth perception, pressure in the eye, color vision, and pupil reflexes. They do this to help the optometrist know what ind of treatment the patient will need.  Salary: An optometry technician makes about $30,000 and over. Educational Requirements: In order to become an optometry technician it is required you have a high school diploma, it is required you have completed training, and it is required to have an Associate's degree.  Demand for this career: This profession is expected to grow about 23% in the following years.  reflection: I think this job would be cool, i have seen this job firsthand and i think its interesting.
