  • Duties and Responsibilities: The job of a psychiatric aide is to assist mentally impaired or emotionally disturbed patient. They may also help patients get from place to place and restrain violent patients. They also follow orders from doctors and nurses.

  • Salary: A psychiatric aide makes around 16,000-24,000 depending on their education level

  • Educational Requirements: In order to become a psychiatric aide you need a high school diploma, a drivers license, and on th ejob training. 



  • Demand for this career: The demand for this career is being physically and emotionally capable, clear communication, and willing to follow directions 

  • Reflection: I would not like to be a psychiatric aide because it is a very big responsibility and you are in charge of guiding a person ansd I think that would be too stressful for me.

Speech Pathologist Duties and Responsibilities:  Speech-language pathologists (sometimes called  speech therapists ) assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in children and adults. The Effects of Marijuana

Effects of Marijuana 1. Marijuana can affect you in several ways. These ways can be both positive and negative.  Some of the negative affects include: - Rapid heart beat - Increase risk of heart attack  - Increase risk of bleeding - Lowers blood pressure These are only some of the ways that smoking, inhaling, or eating marijuana can affect on your body.   In the past month, 6.5 percent of eighth graders, 16.6 percent of 10th graders and 21.2 percent of 12th graders admitted to marijuana use.  Some of the ways we could help create a non-marijuana using community is by offering help. When using a drug it isn't an easy decision to suddenly decide not to keep doing that drug. They need to slowly get away from it, and even then that isn't easy for some users.  I commit and promise to never use marijuana, ever, regardless of what society says.
