Podiatrist 

Duties and Responsibilities: The job of a podiatrist is to specialize in disorders/diseases of the fee or ankle, like calluses and ingrown toe nails. They also treat feet conditions that are caused by diabetes and other rekated conditions. They also may do surgery on feet to reconstruct them. 

Salary: The profession of a podiatrist makes around $116,000 or more yearly depending on how  many years of experience they have and level of education. 

Educational Requirements: Podiatrist must have a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree, which can take around 4 years to recieve. You also have to have 3 years of undergraduate school and a Bachelor's degree to attend a podiatrist school. They also must take the MCAT which is a test that you have to take in order to be eligable to attend a medical school. Last, for the last 2 years you need to gain experience then you will be able to be a podiatrist. 

Demand for this career: In the next couple of years this job is expected to grow up to 22%. For this career you need to be detail oriented, compassionate, critical thinkers, and interpersonal skills. 

Reflection: I would not like to be a podiatrist because disorders and problems of the feet dont interest me.

Optometry Technician Duties and Responsibilities: Optometry Technicians work as an assistant for an optometrist. They help them conduct tests and treatments. These technicians usually have a responsibility of testing a patients visual acuity, depth perception, pressure in the eye, color vision, and pupil reflexes. They do this to help the optometrist know what ind of treatment the patient will need.  Salary: An optometry technician makes about $30,000 and over. Educational Requirements: In order to become an optometry technician it is required you have a high school diploma, it is required you have completed training, and it is required to have an Associate's degree.  Demand for this career: This profession is expected to grow about 23% in the following years.  reflection: I think this job would be cool, i have seen this job firsthand and i think its interesting. 

Sports Medicine - 5/22/2018

Sports Medicine Duties and Responsibilities:  Athletic trainers work with people of all ages and all skill levels, from young children to soldiers and professional athletes. Athletic trainers are usually one of the first healthcare providers on the scene when injuries occur on the field. They work under the direction of a licensed  physician  and with other healthcare providers, often discussing specific injuries and treatment options or evaluating and treating patients, as directed by a physician. Some athletic trainers meet with a team physician or consulting physician regularly. Salary: The median annual wage for athletic trainers was $46,630 in May 2017 Education: In order to go into this career you need a Bachelor's degree, a Master's degree, and they need a license to practice.  Demand for this career: This career is expected to grow 23% from 2016 to 2026 which is much faster than many other careers.  Reflection: I would not like to be o...
